#MyProjectMemory: Vanessa @mytruthstory

Meet Vanessa, the lovely mom behind @mytruthstory on Instagram!

🍂 Why did you decide to share your life through your Instagram account?
I don’t have much family or friends, let alone ones with young children. Instagram gave me a platform to connect with other mommies and people, and they essentially have become my support system.

I also always had a creative side. I’m quite shy and in person I feel like I have problems expressing myself how I would like to. My feed is a way for me to express who I am in ways I wouldn’t otherwise know how to.

🍂 What are your most special memories from 2020?

Definitely seeing the bond between my first son (my 12-year-old chihuahua Slash that has now passed) and my human son Truth.

When I was pregnant I always worried about how Slash would feel now having a human brother. It was just him and I for so many years.

It definitely warmed my heart to see how much they loved each other. Just thinking about it makes me all teary-eyed. My only regret is not taking more photos of them together.

🍂 How do you personally preserve or document your memories, especially those that are important to you?

I’ve always had a love for photography and editing and that always has been a big part of my life. Aside from capturing photos, editing them, and posting them on IG, I really don’t have a good way to preserve them.
